Bishop Largey

Our family is in town because Jeremy has been extended a calling to be the Bishop of our ward at church.  It's a pretty hefty calling, and he's a bit intimidated, but that's what prayer is for!
Thank you to all who came to support him.  He felt really loved.

Tower of Power

Jeremy and the young men in our church lashed together this tower in our sideyard to pass off a pioneering merit badge requirment for Scouts. James had a fantastic time "helping" the big boys!

And where were Carter and Grant you ask.... They flew off to CA with Madison on the 22nd for some quality Grandma time. It's been really strange without my whole crew of kids around. They'll be loving this tower when they get back up here.

Pie Guy

I won the bid to splatter Jeremy's face with pie at the latest church activity. A most enjoyable way to spend money I must say!

Goody Goody

Madison, Hannah, and Erin got together this month to make some goodies for the YM/YW spaghetti dinner camp fundraiser.

Napolean Dynamite Dancin'

We had a dinner at church recently that the YM were in charge of coordinating (Jeremy is still the YM Pres). It had a "souper" bowl theme, with Madison and her friends doing the Napolean Dynamite Dance at half-time. Jeremy also did a balloon animal station, but the kids didn't want to wait for the balloons to be shapen, they just wanted the plain old balloons.

For anyone who hasn't seen ND here's a sweet qoute:

Pedro: Do you think people will vote for me?
Napoleon Dynamite: Heck yes! I'd vote for you.
Pedro: Like what are my skills?
Napoleon Dynamite: Well, you have a sweet bike. And you're really good at hooking up with chicks. Plus you're like the only guy at school who has a mustache.

1st Year Camper- YW

Madison LOVED her first year at girls camp. The only thing she really said she missed while camping was her comfy bed. Nope, not the family... the bed.

Breakfast and Badminton

Our church held a breakfast on Memorial Day at the park. I had a delicious banana pancake and enjoyed watching Jeremy and the kids play on the field. I tried to join in the fun and play a round of kickball, but I got out immediately due to my total lack of sports skill.

Temple Trip

We got to go to the Seattle Temple with a big group of friends this weekend. Thanks to Bishop V (who jogged to get another person to take the picture) I'm actually in the group shot!

Missionary Moment

We had a Primary Stake Activity for boys 8-11 years old on Saturday. They got to hear about mission experiences from six different missionaries. The places the missionaries served were numerous: Florida, Honduras (a missionary couple served here), Mexico, Canada, and South Africa. It was awesome to hear each person's take on their mission experience. I had fun taking pictures and listening to the boys chit chat. The boys made some missionary journals (Diana's awesome design) at the end of the activity and then had some lunch (Yummy- thanks Barb). I think the boys enjoyed coming, but wish more of them had been able to attend. Sports created a scheduling conflict. Carter wasn't there because he was playing a baseball game. I told Carter I'd give him the inside scoop.
