Field Trip to SEEEattle

Madison got to go on a field trip at the beginning of the month and take photos of architectural elements.  I have to admit I was a bit jealous of that field trip!

We're gonna hit the piñata?

James was with me when we bought a piñata for our Cinco De Mayo party and he was a bit sad initially to find out that we bought it only to beat it with a stick.  But with a bat in his hand he cheered up.

POP that in your mouth!

Madison and her friends felt inspired to make home made pop tarts.
They put box pop tarts to shame.

I Want Candy

Trunk or Treating at the church with friends. Jeremy's Swedish Chef costume was my favorite for the year.

Showered With Love

My dear friend Jill threw a baby shower for Wilson and I.  I had such a fun time visiting with my friends. Baby showers are just about the only time it's socially acceptable to open gifts for another person.

A hunting we will go...

We got to hunt for Easter eggs twice this year- at our friends the Hatch's on Saturday and at home in our side yard on Sunday. We also found some real eggs beneath our outgrown grass this month too much to our surprise. I didn't know birds laid eggs on the ground. Seems risky to me- espacially in our yard!

When you give a kid a camera...

These are the pictures you will get-

BY MADISON
(that last one of her friend in the snow is totally fake- so don't worry)

White Winter

Nothing like a good snow... that comes to visit for a short time, then melts away quickly. James could only stand being out in the cold for a short time too, but he loved being pushed around on the sled. The boys were disappointed that the snow didn't stay longer and kept trying to make snowballs out of pathetic amounts of snow for days after this "big" snow.

Snuggles, Bags, and Cute Girls

Madison and I had some quality sewing time going on this month to help make some fun bags. Her friend Hannah was sewing up a storm too and made Madison a Snuggie. We were ALL snuggly in our Christmas robes for New Year's Eve when my mom got to come for a short visit.
