Good Brothering

James loves to give Wilson a ride on his little car.
And Wilson loves to be pushed around FAST!

Two boys in a tub

These little boys are so lucky to have a daddy that makes sure they're squeaky clean.

We're gonna hit the piñata?

James was with me when we bought a piñata for our Cinco De Mayo party and he was a bit sad initially to find out that we bought it only to beat it with a stick.  But with a bat in his hand he cheered up.

Peas in a Pod

James and Keegan play really well together.
Whenever we go back home from a visit to Idaho James asks-
When can I play with Keegan again?

We have officially moved Wilson into James's room ( he used to share with Grant).

James has moved from Nursery to Primary since the new year.
He's such a happy Sunbeam!

James has seemed older ever since he became a big brother.
Now he's officially 3 years old!

Big & Little

I find myself referring to Carter and Grant as my big boys, and James and Wilson as my little boys.  Baby acne is all over my poor Wilson right now, but it won't last long.

Swim Lessons for the James Fish

James has been taking his first swimming lessons on the base with a classfull of cute girls- lucky boy! He can't completely swim on his own yet, but he's getting closer and closer. He couldn't take any lessons last summer because he had a skin problem going on and couldn't swim in public pools, so we're a bit behind in his swim skills... but he loves the water so he'll catch up eventually.

James has his baby...

Being so cute and having a baby of your own can be exhausting! James has been saying he has a girl baby in his tummy for months and she came out on the fourth. The baby doll in his picture is what his baby looks like. I can't believe she was in his tummy bc she is huge! Congratulations James (hee hee hee)

Two is better than one...

Why did Mom and Dad buy me such a huge cake... James is wondering. Is it because I'm a big two-year old now? We wondered why we bought that cake too when we barely put a dent in it after Jamesy's birthday.
He ripped open his presents with gusto, but loved his balloons most of all. He's still trying to figure out the bike...

Rock Star by day, Mama's boy at night

Here's the tatoo that couldn't be seen under Jamesy's rock star exterior! This costume didn't make quite as big of a hit as the Yoda one he wore the year before, but I still liked it. I considered myself to be one of his groupies since I ended up carrying his guitar all night at the Fall Festival so it's only fitting that he has my name tatooed on his arm!

No More Crib

James has moved from his crib into a toddler bed this week. He's the first kid we've moved from his crib before he was climbing out of it. Eventually he'll be changing rooms as well. He and Grant are going to share a room for a while, and the room James has been sleeping in (formerly known as the guest room) will become Carter's room. Cha-cha-cha-changes...

Bike-O-Rama

We are now the proud owners of a bike trailer and can now bicycle to Canada as a family if we feel so inclined. I'm serious about getting out as a family and biking all over the place. See the look of determination on my face.
Jamesy loves riding in his yellow cab of goodness. I have to say he has quite the setup. Snacks, a blanket, books, chocolate milk... all in his yellow cab just for him. Hmmm- do they make bike trailers for adults? James is livin' the life and he doesn't even know it! Once again I am envious of one of my kids.

Pointing and Labeling

James loves to point at anything and everything lately. If he knows the word for whatever he's pointing to he'll label it as well. He's pointing out the window and saying "birds" in the picture above. His little voice is so fun to hear, especially now that he's combining words. I asked him if he was ready to go to Nursery this morning and he said- "Gace" (Grace is in Nursery with him). I said "Yes- You get to go to Nursery and see your friends." James clapped his little hands with glee and said "Yay friends!"

It's good that people don't eat their young because James is just soooo scrumptiously cute right now that I could eat him up. He's also quite dashing in his fresh new haircut by Trish. Hopefully nobody will mistake him for a girl now!

James First Day in Nursery

James is officially part of Nursery at church now. He'd been with Jeremy and I for the full 3 hours of church prior to this. James was excited to get to play with the toys. He liked the snack time and he really liked getting to help with the singing time. I'm grateful that he likes Nursery!
