Back up to WA by way of beach

We took the scenic drive back up to WA and stopped at a little beach near the Golden Gate Bridge to stretch our legs. We were foolish enough to tell the kids to try not to get wet...

We'll miss you Largey's... and POOL

The kids swam nearly every day we we in CA. And when they didn't get to they usually grumbled about it. Besides getting to visit with family I think swimming is their next favorite thing to do on vacation. Mine is playing games and seeing new sights.

Goodies and Grins

My mom bought some fun chocolate molds and we delved into candy making this week so we could enjoy eating treats while playing games at the clubhouse. I wish I had some of those goodies to eat now...

Hair we are...

Madison and I are sporting some new do's and posing before the Cali sunset. The boys are hanging out watching tv and enjoying some non-restrictive vacation time.

Gettin' Jiggy at Grandpa Don's

James discovered he loved dancing to the musical fish tunes at Grandpa Don's this summer. Someday when I learn how to upload video I'll have to put the "moves" on here (they're way better than the pictures).

Bursting with Patriotism

4th of July weekend- went with family to see explosions somewhere... It's getting late and I'm going to fix this posts entry later...

Mountains of Fun

OK-I didn't take very many pictures of us at Magic Mounain because I was running from ride to ride all day. So we have one picture on the tram entering the park and one of us being soaked after a rafting ride. Grandma Leann watched our Jamesy so we could pay to be flung around on various rides. Things I want to remember:
1- If you go on a ride involving water you will get wet. Even your underwear.
2- Grant was just tall enough to go on almost anything and he is a dardevil extreme. That kid will ride on anything. He's insane.
3- Eating- followed closely by running to the next flippity-do ride will cause upset stomach.
4- If your party separates from one another make sure each group has a cell phone so you can find them once more.
5- Carter bravely tried to go on more than he was comforatble with and went on Ninja- his first upside down ride. The chicken in you is from me Carter...
6- Fudge and funnel cakes are good- but maybe not in succession.
7- Madison said her favorite ride was the massage chair that we paid a buck for by the lockers at the end of a fun but long day.

Beach Bums

We spent our first day of July at the beach. It was overcast and a bit cold on the beachfront- but our sunny dispositions made it into a beautiful day. By living in WA we miss out on warm beach opportunities. We had to pretend this one was warmer than it was to make up for that!

The CALI trip begins

Every summer we go down to CA to soak up the sun and swim nearly every day. We also get some quality Grandma time in as well. I love the picture Jeremy took of me in the car laughing hysterically because he snatched the camera and began randomly taking pictures.

Summer=Friends

Here's my boys paying with their friends- referred to as Thing 2 and Thing 3 by one of my blogging friends. These boys love to make grand plans together.
