Jeremy gets a hankering to shoot off rockets every now and then with the kids. This time we went with the Erickson's so Jordan could experience the fun too. The kids love trying to catch the rockets when they're coming down almost as much as blasting them off. They also like the assembly process. I don't like to put together anything, but Jeremy gets a gleam in his eye when it comes to assembling things- anthing. The man has a sickness. I like taking pictures- especially crazy ones.

Mom and Boys camp WITHOUT Dad!
So Madison was at girls camp, and Jeremy was out of town... so I decided to take the boys camping with mom. Why should everyone else have all the fun? I only lit one thing on fire acidentally (some bacon cooking in paper bags)and I put it out really quick. I only barely singed the arm of a jacket I was wearing. The boys enjoyed themselves and said they liked making the smores and listening to spooky stories. I should have skipped the story involving the bear because it took me a lot longer to go to sleep with no Jeremy in the tent to protect me from my imagination.

Whale of a Run
REDWOODS ARE AMAZING
Shortly after our sandy beach romp we stopped for the night (freshly cleaned kids are in the hotel room above). We spent the next day exploring the Redwoods and it was unbelieveable. I couldn't capture the sheer scale of those trees very well with my camera, but if you haven't seen them in person- put that on your bucket list. My neck got a cramp from looking upwards in amazement and the kids could not stop gawking. Thanks to Jeremy who decided it was worth the extra time on the road trip to see this stunning sight.
