Creative Christmas Chaos

I've been flexing the creative muscle in my brain to come up with Tree Costumes (tomato cages covered with green blankets) and Crafts for the boys craft day at school.

Now- I know their tree costumes were not the most beauiful, but it only took about an hour of my life span to make them and I do so love to save time. I used the time I saved to have a brief nap before their choir performance at school and we were nearly late- oops.

Saved Time=Nap=Lateness=Chaos.... I couldn't put their cosumes on until we got to the school and ended up trying to do it super-speedily in the parking lot. It was dark so I couldn't find the hole I'd cut out for Carter's head and began to have fits of hysterical laughter. Seriously I could not stop laughing... this impaired me for when I was trying to put Grant's costume on, so I didn't notice that I only got half of his face showing until he was onstage singing. I STILL start giggling when I see these Christmas tree costume pictures of the boys and remember them asking if that's how they were supposed to "look".

MadHatterison

Madison set up a "tea" party complete with snacks in her room when she found out some of her friends were coming to visit. The boys mostly ignored it and opted to run around and play foosball, but the girls had a lovely time. Carter eventually sniffed out the food and ended up eating all the leftovers. I think Madison's Halloween costume has had an impact on her personality...

Gummy Bear Town

For an assignment at school Madison had to construct a cell module. She made such a creative gummy bear town... the only bad thing was that Dad threw it out before we could remove some of the things we wanted to keep from the cell model.

Let the 32nd year begin!

Jeremy's another year older, but still young in spirit. We love you so Daddy-O!

Yum Yum Yum

We combined forces with the Christensen's for Thankgiving this year and enjoyed such a feast! Plus Jill made the tables beautiful because she enjoys bringing beauty into being. Thank you friends for helping to make the day fabulous! I wish I had some of those fabulous foods to eat right now, but then they might not be as special at Thanksgigving.

Goodbye Grandpa Don- We'll Miss You

We traveled to Utah for Grandpa Don's funeral. This is the first funeral I've been to and I have to say it was a beautiful experience. Hearing stories about Grandpa and how he lived his life was inspiring. He was truly a great man. We will miss seeing him so very much. We love you Grandpa Don.

Loves from Grandma Leann

No one can resist getting loved on by Grandma. Who would want to? James just enjoys playing hard to get!

Having a ball visiting with FAMILY

I know we've come to Utah to attend the funeral of Great Grandpa Don, but it has been such a wonderful thing to see so many family members. I know it would make Grandpa smile.

Whoooo Loves Fall?

The kids couldn't resist playing with these golden leaves in front of Aunt Amelia's house in Utah. Some of the leaves were bigger than James' face. Fall is my favorite season.

Cutest skeletons I've ever seen!

Here are the kids with a couple of their cutie-patootie cousins.

Boys will be boys... and girls

I can't seem to keep the big boys in shoes. They wear them out quicker than they even outgrow them. Carter was sad to get rid of his puppet shoe. He had named him "Bob" and was putting on shows at school with him. I told him that's just not right. Neither is Madison making James look like a sister, but she just keeps doing it.

Full Frame

I got to take some fun B&W photos for the young women in our ward at church this week for an upcoming YW in Excellence. Practice makes perfect...
