Banging up baseballs and arms

Carter is on a kid pitch team this year and Grant is doing his second year of coach pitch. They've been so excited to play, but the weather isn't cooperating up here and it keeps raining during their games.
Another unfortunate piece of news- James broke his left arm on April 30 by rolling off the bed in my room and landing on top of his arm. He was already wearing a walking boot as well because he sprang his left ankle on trampoline on Easter Sunday. So, many people were casting him sorrowful glances this month as we went out and about together as he looked pretty gimpy for a while. But James was a trooper, and I think he complained less than I did about the cast and the boot.

Colors and Candy

Here's the kids with their baskets of cavity makers- oops I mean candy. Plus us dying Easter eggs. James was thrilled to see the eggs change colors (last year he was too little to include in the egg-dying activity). His squeals of delight made me feel happy even when cleaning up all the colored dye drops on my kitchen floor.

A hunting we will go...

We got to hunt for Easter eggs twice this year- at our friends the Hatch's on Saturday and at home in our side yard on Sunday. We also found some real eggs beneath our outgrown grass this month too much to our surprise. I didn't know birds laid eggs on the ground. Seems risky to me- espacially in our yard!

Seattle Children's Museum Field Trip

I ferried over with the boys to Seattle on a field trip this week to see the play "The Man Who Planted Trees". I almost fell asleep at one point during the play when they had the theater darkened- Ahhh the joys of being pregnant. The boys said they wished they could go on a field trip every day.

West Side Story Glory

Madison just performed in her 3rd piano recital and played a West Side Story Medley. She was nervous, but still managed to play beautifully.

It's a BOY... again!

Notice the expressions on the kids faces about the news that our newest Largey addition is going to be a boy... almost everyone is pleased. I broke the news by bringing out cupcakes topped with blue frosting. Madison is thinking- woe is me.

Springing off to Idaho!

We went to Idaho for part of our spring break this year. It was the first time I got to see my sister's new house- it was awesome! So much space to romp and play, my kids loved it. I also got to meet their new puppy Pepper. We're too mean to let our kids have pets of their own, so I'm always glad when people we love get pets our kids can play with.

Gum or Cake?

Carter and Jeremy made this fun cake for a pack meeting this month. I think Carter chewed about 20 pieces of gum as he was helping to create the cake. At the pack meeting we also got to create a recyclable robot.

Boys being silly...

Grant and James predicting what I'll look like a few months from now... Well- I hope I won't be quite that BIG!

Pie Guy

I won the bid to splatter Jeremy's face with pie at the latest church activity. A most enjoyable way to spend money I must say!

Goody Goody

Madison, Hannah, and Erin got together this month to make some goodies for the YM/YW spaghetti dinner camp fundraiser.
